Aparna Nancherla is an acclaimed comedian, writer, and actor who has toured her standup comedy around the US and the world. Her work spans film, television, podcasts, and books. Her late-night stand-up appearances include Conan, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and The Late Late Show with James Corden. She hosts The Introvert’s Survival Guide, a new self-help interview podcast featuring guests such as Seth Meyers, Elyse Myers, and Eric Smith.

Luke Mones is a comedian, actor, and writer who wrote and starred in the Comedy Central digital series Genies. He was selected by Netflix for their Introducing… stand up showcase at their inaugural comedy festival and was named an Up Next comedian by Comedy Central. He hosts the Luke Mones Explained podcast, and his debut comedy album, Happening in My Head, is available to stream everywhere.

Milan Patel is a Los Angeles based stand-up comedian who recently performed at the 2024 Netflix is a Joke Comedy Festival. His comedy act—a mix of dead-pan joke delivery, absurd act outs, and keen observations—was featured at the Bumbershoot Music Festival and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival. He is the editor for the Sloppy Boys podcast and hosts the Perfect Politics podcast.

Rosalee Mayeux

Rosalee Mayeux is a stand-up comedian, actress, former Ford model, and award-winning writer. She performs stand-up weekly around Los Angeles in the major comedy clubs and shows around town, often tours Louisiana, Florida and performs at the North Carolina Comedy Fest. Currently, she is putting finishing touches on her debut comedy special: “Gangsta Mom,” about true-life events that led her to raising two boys in Los Angeles alone, while chasing away drug dealers and girlfriends.

Chelcye Perry

Chelcye Perry is blazing a comedy trail with her raw, quick wit on motherhood, dating and relationships. Originally from Houston, Texas, she performs regularly at the Hollywood Comedy Store and all over Los Angeles.

The Democracy Center explores the rights, freedoms, and fragility of democracy, helping to build bridges, and find common ground between people of diverse backgrounds and opinions.
