All members are invited to join a special guided tour of the Museum’s first public space. Originally built in 1925 as the Los Angeles Nishi Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, it was used as a house of worship, social hall, and rental office space. During WWII, it stored the belongings of Japanese Americans sent to concentration camps, and later a hostel during resettlement.

RSVP early; 25 guests max. Contact memberevents@janm.org or call 213.830.5657.
