Bring a cherished personal item or a colorfully decorated letter to your future self to be placed in the gigantic Hello Kitty time capsule by kawaii artist Sebastian Masuda. (Masuda will not be here for the drop-off day. If you would like to meet him in person, please join us for a workshop with the artist at JANM’s Oshogatsu Family Festival on January 8.)

Masuda is organizing a total of 10 translucent time capsules as part of a long-term art project that will culminate in Tokyo in 2020. The capsules will all be returned to their cities of origin and reopened in 2035.
