The daughter and granddaughter of incarcerees, Susan H. Kamei volunteered in the redress campaign and served as National Deputy Legal Counsel for the JACL Legislative Education Committee. She teaches a history course at the University of Southern California on the incarceration and its relevance to constitutional, political, and social issues today.
