About the Film
James Shigeta and Glenn Corbett depict two Los Angeles detectives who fall in love with the same woman, Christine (Victoria Shaw), in Samuel Fuller’s 1959 noir The Crimson Kimono. Fuller’s groundbreaking feature stimulates more than a sensational thrill anticipated by its genre; he dares depict a love story between an Asian man and a white woman in the 1950s, which carries its own intensity incorporated in the narrative of a murder investigation taking place in the Little Tokyo district of LA.
