Celebrate Little Tokyo Earth Day with author and farmer Nikiko Masumoto as she shares about her debut picture book, Every Peach is a Story, written with her father, David Mas Masumoto, with illustrations by award-winning artist Lauren Tamaki.

Every Peach Is a Story follows young Midori and her grandfather, Jiichan, as they uncover the stories of their farm’s fresh fruit and discover that every peach is a sweet reminder of those who’ve come before. Poetic and powerful, this new book is a journey of discovery through all of life’s seasons.

The JANM Book Club is a series of Public Programs that highlights new publications by Japanese Americans or related to Japanese American history and culture.

Nikiko Masumoto will give a reading of Every Peach Is a Story on the Norman Y. Mineta Democracy Plaza at 3 p.m. during the 10th annual Delicious Little Tokyo in collaboration with Sustainable Little Tokyo’s Earth Day Celebration.
