Cold Tofu Improv: Tofu's All In The Family

Join us in a celebration of “Family” as Cold Tofu takes us on a journey of exploration. This talented, energetic, multicultural comedy group has an amazing assortment of entertainment techniques that will keep you laughing all night! Join the family fun for free on Thursday, March 26, 1998 from 7:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m. at the Japanese American National Museum, located at 369 East First Street in the Little Tokyo Historic District of Los Angeles. For reservations or more information, please call 213.625.0414.

“In conjunction with the Finding Family Stories exhibit at the Museum, we’ve decided to do a family piece that deals with issues like family values,” said Helen Ota, co-artistic director and actress in Cold Tofu. “Although children are always welcome to our shows, we encourage them even more so to come to this particular performance, especially with their parents or families.”

Robert Covarrubias, Cold Tofu co-artistic director and actor added, “In our trademark improvisational style, we will play our families. We’ll be our fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters to tell our family stories in an entertaining way that everyone can relate to.”

This night of familial festivity is made possible in part by a grant from the City of Los Angeles, Cultural Affairs Department.
