Stop AAPI Hate and the Democracy Center at the Japanese American National Museum are proud to present an evening with Curtis Chin, a celebrated filmmaker and author of the new memoir, Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant. The memoir chronicles Curtis’ life growing up Asian American in the Black and White city of Detroit, coming out in his working-class immigrant community, as well as being a first-generation college student at the University of Michigan.

Curtis will be in conversation with local leader Manjusha Kulkarni, Executive Director of AAPI Equity Alliance and Co-Founder of Stop AAPI Hate. 

Admission to the talk is free; admission ticket including a copy of the book is $32.85 (including tax) while supplies last.
