Democracy and AI

Join the Democracy Center and CalMatters and discover what it means to build a fair and free future in the age of artificial intelligence (AI). In an era where AI is transforming everything from how we communicate to how we vote, this program brings Dave Lescher, cofounder of CalMatters; Ted Schilowitz of Futurist, and John Bwarie of Stratiscope together for a conversation about the intersection of democracy and AI. We’ll dive into burning questions, examine whether governments should take legislative action to monitor the technology’s growth, and ask the big question: How will this revolution shape the future of democracy?

Following the discussion will be an interactive breakout session where we will dive into the discussion a bit more and develop what we might want to see in an AI Bill of Rights.

This program is copresented by the Democracy Center and CalMatters.
