Special Performance
The hibari is a skylark bird that sings so beautifully it lifts your spirits to soaring heights. The Hibari Children’s Chorus, an internationally renowned group led by founder, Kazuko Minagawa, celebrates its 50th anniversary, by making its first concert appearance in the U.S. at the Japan American Theater on March 30.
Many well-known speakers and movie stars in Japan including Sayuri Yoshinaga, Saori Yuki, and Tomoko Matsushima are former members of Hibari. The Museum hosts the group in a special performance by these remarkable children. Free with Museum admission. Reservations required. Limited seating available.
