Former Sansei (third generation) sumo wrestler, Bob Suetsugu will demonstrate the preparation of chanko nabe, a stew which is cooked in an iron pot and a staple meal for sumo wrestlers. From 1975 to 1985, Mr. Suetsugu was a professional sumo wrestler and completed in tournaments under the name Sho-Ryu-Zan, which means Pine Dragon Mountain. After retiring from sumo, he became an apprentice at a sushi restaurant and in 1990, returned to his hometown, Seattle where he opened his Sushi Man Restaurant in nearby Issaquah.
