At the 2015 Gala Dinner, the museum will share its accomplishments of the past year, offer a glimpse into what the coming year holds in store, and remember those from the JANM family who have passed away since the last Gala. And, in recognition of his decades-long standing as an inspirational role model as well as his commitment and contributions to the Japanese American National Museum, actor and activist George Takei will be presented with JANM’s Distinguished Medal of Honor for Lifetime Achievement and Public Service.
