Two-Day Craft Workshop—Indigo Vat Making and Shibori Technique

11 a.m.–4 p.m.
In this two-day workshop led by Glennis Dolce of Shibori Girl Studios, participants will have the opportunity to make a small, two-gallon fermentation vat to take home with them. All levels are welcome to come and practice shibori techniques, learn about indigo vat maintenance, experiment with Japanese shibori tools and stencils, and browse the book collection. Feel free to bring your own indigo-dyeing and shibori projects.
$72 members, $90 non-members, plus $40 materials fee due to instructor at beginning of class (cash only). Two-gallon lidded buckets will also be available for $4 each. Limited to 18 participants. Museum admission included.
Please be sure to wear studio clothing and bring rubber gloves, sewing pins, and scissors. All other materials will be provided.
