In addition to the artwork and artifacts, the exhibition included several media components—a film by Norman Yonemoto, and video footage of performances by Linda Nishio and the musical Chop Suey.

Gidra Issues
April 1969 (first issue)
The inaugural issue included articles about Yellow Power, the Third World Liberation Front, the firing of county coroner Dr. Thomas Noguchi, Yellow Brotherhood, Asian American women, and the establishment of an institute for the study of American Cultures at UCLA. It also included a poem and cartoon about stereotypes.

January 1971
The January 1971 issue of Gidra focused on women’s issues with articles like “G.I.’s and Asian Women,” “Power to the Workers—Recognize the working women and women’s work for their part in production,” “A Woman’s Life Story—A true biography of oppression,” “War Brides—White man, Asian woman,” and more.

February 1973
The February 1973 issue of Gidra included articles about the Vietnam War, a demonstration held in Little Tokyo, redevelopment in Little Tokyo, and more.

April 1974 (final issue)
The fifth anniversary issue of Gidra was also its last. It included an article by Mike Murase reflecting on Gidra’s 5-year life and the decision to suspend publication, articles, poetry, short stories, illustrations, and community photos.
