"Storytime at the Museum" Series Premier at Japanese American National Museum May 20
The “Storytime at the Museum” series designed especially for children ages 3 to 5 will premier at the Japanese American National Museum on Thursday, May 20 at 10 a.m. The “Storytime at the Museum” readings are scheduled to show every third-Thursday of the month when admission to the Museum is free. The inaugural show will feature John Miyasaki, storyteller and Artistic Director of hereandnow theatre co., who will read Asian American Folk Tales in honor of Asian Pacific Heritage Month. Reservations are required for this inaugural performance.
Beginning on May 20 and continuing every third-Thursday of the month, “Storytime at the Museum” will feature a member of the Museum staff, a Little Tokyo Branch Librarian, or a special guest reader who will read a story for children ages 3 to 5. This month’s reader is the very talented director of the successful hereandnow theatre co., John Miyasaki. Admission to the Museum is free and reservations are required. “Storytime at the Museum” is co-sponsored by the Little Tokyo Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library.
