Featuring: Lillian Nakano, Glenn Horiuchi and the Museum Shamisen Ensemble
The Museum presents the fourth in a series of shamisen (Japanese, three-stringed instrument) performances by California Arts Council recipients and Museum resident artists, Lillian Nakano, shamisen instructor and Glenn Horiuchi, Asian Improv recording artist.
Joining the pair will be the Japanese American National Museum Shamisen Ensemble, the students who have been learning the art of shamisen in the class offered at the Museum through funding from the California Arts Council. Free with Museum admission. Reservations required. Limited seating available.
