The Kona Coffee Story tells the story of the coffee growing industry of Kona on the Big Island of Hawai‘i, from the arrival of the first coffee plants in 1828 to the poignant stories of the Japanese American coffee pioneers living today.

A joint production of the Japanese American National Museum and the Kona Japanese Civic Association, this exhibition recently was awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the American Association for State and Local History. Be sure to visit this exhibition for a taste of Hawai‘i.
